The Historical Museum at St. Gertrude presents the Fall Lecture Series
Thursdays during October 2010, 7 to 8:30 pm
at Spirit Center at the Monastery of St. Gertrude in Cottonwood, Idaho.



October 7, 2010    “Native American Rock Art”
Alyse Cadez, education and volunteer coordinator at the Nez Perce National Historical Park, will talk about the rock art in and around north central Idaho.
 

October 14, 2010    “‘Less Than What Really Happened’: Explorations in Historical Field Work”
Steve Branting discusses “ground breaking” historical field work. Asking the questions regularly open the doors to authentic historical discovery, especially when there is a real mystery involved with the answer.
 

October 21, 2010     “Hildegard of Bingen”
Dr. Katherine Baker will speak to the life and significant accomplishments of this 12th century mystic, a woman ahead of her time. This is a lead-up to a weekend retreat at the monastery devoted to Hildegard of Bingen.
 

October 28, 2010        “Salmon River History”
Cort Conley, Idaho historian, returns to present more stories connected to Salmon River history.
